Product Introduction
Carboxyl fluorescein (commonly referred to as FAM) and its amine-reactive succinimide ester are superior to FITC in bioconjugation. FAM reagent makes formamide more resistant to hydrolysis. In addition, FAM REAGENTS require less stringent conjugation conditions and yield better conjugation yields, and the resulting conjugates exhibit excellent stability. Fitc-labeled nucleotides and peptides tended to deteriorate more rapidly than the corresponding FAM conjugates. FAM reagents can be used to replace FITC reagents in most biological applications.
