Product Introduction
5 FAM-X,SE contains an aminocaproic acid fragment (called "X") between 5-carboxyl fluorescein and succinimide. The "X" spacer separates the fluorophore from the conjugated biomolecules. The "X" fragment may reduce the potential quench that normally occurs in luciferin molecules with conjugated proteins or other biopolymers such as nucleic acids.
