Product Introduction

5-FITC and 6-FITC have very similar absorption and fluorescence spectra. However, isoforms may differ in their binding and reactivity to proteins, and conjugates may migrate differently in gel electrophoresis. Therefore, we provide highly purified single isomers, which must be stored with care as to how the FITC conjugate is stored.

Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) has a yellow-orange color and a maximum absorbance at 495 nm. By excitation, it can emit a yellow-green color with maximum emission at 525 nm.

It is widely used to attach fluorescent labels to proteins via amine groups. The isothiocyanate group can react with the amino terminal and primary amine in the protein. It has been used to label proteins, including antibodies and lectins.

Biological applications, including fluorescent labeling reagents for proteins, fluorescent reagents for protein tracing, and as a reagent in fluorescent antibody techniques for rapid pathogen identification. It can be used as a derivative reagent of amphetamine, methamphetamine, 3, 4-methylenedioxy methamphetamine and p-phenylethylamine in human urine during capillary electrophoresis (CE). It can be used for the preparation of fluorescent antibodies. It can be used for sensitization studies in vitro.
